Hon. Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof, as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of the Gambia, His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 met with the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Her Excellency, Dr Monique Nsanzabaganwa at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa.
The Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment delivered a special message from President Barrow to the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission to strengthen the cordial relations between the Gambia and AU.
Minister Joof as well delivered a message from the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Hon. Hamat N.K. Bah to the Deputy Chairman of the African Union Commission who received him on behalf of the His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
Her Excellency Jainaba Jagne, Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia and Permanent Representative to the African Union and Counselor Bah, Chief of Staff of the Vice President and Special Advisor to the Chairperson of the AUC on Integration were in attendance.
